THE CARDS
The idea for Sports Condolence Greeting Cards came from a female reader of our syndicated comic strip, “Girls & Sports.” The reader wrote into us asking: “My boyfriend gets so upset after his favorite team loses. Is there anything I can get to cheer him up?” At that moment, the idea for Sports Condolence Greeting Cards was born.
Not only did we like the idea that women could give these cards to their boyfriends, husbands, brothers, dads, co-workers, etc, but we thought any sports fan could give these cards to another sports fan as a way of talking a little trash.
THE COMIC STRIP
Sports Condolence Greeting Cards feature the characters and themes seen in our nationally syndicated comic strip, “Girls & Sports.” “Girls & Sports” appears in over 200 college and mainstream newspapers nationwide, including The New York Daily News, The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, the online editions of The Denver Post and The Arizona Republic, and the US Military’s Stars and Stripes.
In addition to the greeting cards and comic strip, our first full-color, cartoon dating book has been published by Santa Monica Press, titled Opening Lines, Pinky Probes, and L-Bombs: The Girls & Sports Dating and Relationship Playbook, which is available on Amazon.com and in bookstores everywhere.
